You may have recently heard about the KRACK WiFi vulnerability that affects all WiFi network devices. The vulnerability in the WPA and WPA2 protocols affects EVERY WiFi Router, all access points and client devices (ie: Laptops, tablets, smart phones, smart TVs, smart thermostats, smart audio (Sonos), etc). The vulnerability was announced on Monday, October 10th, 2017, but the researches that discovered it quietly notified many device and software manufacturers so that they could have updates ready to fix the issue soon after it was publicly disclosed.
The devices in your office and home wireless are vulnerable, so be sure to check with your vendor for an update. If your WiFi network is managed by ACE Technology Group, then we are already working on applying the firmware updates needed. This vulnerability is also present in the client devices, such as your phone, tablet, or computer. So be sure these devices are being updated as well. If your PC or laptop is managed by ACE Technology Group, we will automatically be applying new drivers as they become available from the vendors.
